About Us

Our Mission
The Minnesota Nature Education Alliance (MNEA) is a Minnesota-based accrediting body dedicated to upholding and celebrating excellence in holistic-based (with emphasis on Waldorf approaches), nature-rich childhood education. Unlike generic accreditation, the Golden Acorn Standard is deeply rooted in Minnesota’s natural landscapes and traditions, authentic rhythms and handwork, community, culture, and environmental stewardship. Our mission is to guide families toward programs of true quality and to provide schools with a mark of distinction that cannot be easily replicated.
